Lots of companies seem to ‘collect’ facebook likes, or even buy them. But what do brands with these data? In 2012, C&A Brazil came up with something different, experimenting with facebook likes in its hangers. Their explanation: female shoppers often want a second opinion while looking for a new outfit. Providing information on how much likes an item has, C&A believes this could work as giving these shoppers a ‘second opinion’ .
How does it work?
Like an item on their facebook wall, and that like will be shown on their facebook hanger. As there is a real-time connection, facebook-likes are always up-to-date.

By using this tool, C&A hopes to simplify the decision process for the single shopper.
